We, as parents, guardians, teachers, and caregivers, tend to
take the role of dictator when it comes to raising our young ones.
This is understandable. We birth them, house them, entertain them, educate them, and nurture them. It feels like it’s our right and responsibility to shape the children in our care.
However, whether consciously or not, we often end up projecting our own interests, abilities, and baggage onto our kids.
